This Japanese brand doesn't have too many products, but the ones they do have, like the Halcyon Raven 50, are very well made.
Without a doubt the Halcyon Raven 50 casts like a lead ball with a slingshot, the compact body and weight arrangement makes the lure fly far and land accurately, without any weird bouncing or deviations, it's small, it's light but it's feisty.
Fishing in saltwater a good casting distance is always appreciated, but at the end of the day it's the movement that counts the most and if you have a minute and a half of time, take a look at the video we have posted below, because it tells more than we could ever achieve in many lines. For freshwater fishing enthusiasts the Halcyon Raven 50 is a great fish finder for barbel, perch and even trout in the deeper pools of the river, and this mini submersible can handle the current very well so it's a safe bet. In the sea it is very good with Mebaru, but at home in Japan, in our waters we see it very keen on bream and gilthead bream, of course, and with a long list of small predators, including spotted sebass, horse mackerel, mackerel and, if I dare say it, bigeye, which is perhaps the closest thing to Mebaru in our corner of the planet.
Anyway, folks, evidently the Halcyon Raven 50 is a highly sought-after piece among light game geeks, and for good reason.
